I'm Alive!

Ok, so I haven't wrote anything for quite awhile.  I apologize for that and look forward to getting back to the reporting.  Work has been keeping me extra busy and when I am not at my office I am trying to find a way to get out on the water.   I want to say thanks to those of you that tuned into 100.3 on Sunday to listen to outdoor talk.  I was the featured guest for a two hour radio show.  It was a ton of fun.

This is how we started off our open water season.  This is a picture of my roommate after we had arrived at our spot.  It was a bit on the chilly side.  But we were to find some crappies.  It was nice to get the rod to bend again and catch a few fish.  Since this trip the weather and the water has warmed up a bit.  We are now catching a lot of crappies and sunnies.  The fish have started to move up into the shallows and they are at the pre-spawn phase.

Have made one trip to Wabasha and had a very tough day on the river.  The water was only 41 degrees when we were there which makes for a tough bass bite.  There were some smallmouth to be caught adjacent to the main channel but the back waters was still to cold for the largemouth to be up.

Next week I am headed to Table Rock Lake in Missouri for the Rangers Owners tourney.  Wish me luck and until I get back, Fish On!

MN Bound

Flying home today after a two week stint in Texas.  It has been fun and a great experience.  Did not get to fish like I would have liked.  I will be driving down next time so I can bring the "Danger Ranger" with me.

Word on the town is that the river is going good.  I will be getting the boat out tomorrow to hit some open water action.  If you would like to join in on some walleye, sauger, and smallmouth action please let me know.  I will get pictures and updates up as soon as I can.

Headed to Rainy River first week of April, so if you are going to be up that way, hit me up.

Did manage one last trip to Red before I left, and it was terrible.  Sounds like my aluminum house is in rough shape.  I am going to over haul it this summer.  Could use some help if anyone would like to pitch in.

Until then, FISH ON!

Where Do I Start?

P2170005.JPG

What can I say!?!  We had a record weekend on Upper Red Lake this last weekend.  This is a small sample of the 300 plus huge crappies we caught in less than 48 hrs.  I will be throwing more pictures up shortly.  I have to say thank you to Jay, Keith, Jason, Jeremy, Shane, and Lee.  Special thanks to Ryan and Mark Raveling of Raveling OutdoorS!  With out you guys, this trip couldn't have been a success.  If you or any one you know wants to get up and get in on this hot action, please contact me for availability.
