The "Whip"

This is a short video of my new Ranger Z521 with a Mercury 250 Pro XS! Actually a short film of the view from my drivers seat running out the Boy River on Leech Lake during the NABC Championship practice. Only thing that could have made this venture better was walking away with the "W". We didn't manage to win, rather finished in a respectable 7th place. Leech Lake is an amazing fishery.

Recent Shows

The new Mosaic boat was recently displayed at the ND Ag show in Fargo, ND and also at the MPLS convention center for the MN Crop growers show.  The trek north from Georgia was interesting, but nothing compared to the "fun" of towing a boat in MN in December.  The added blizzard didn't help anything.

Needless to say I am glad to have the boat back in the water in the southern half of the country.  It did give me time to prep a bit for the upcoming ice fishing season in MN.  I will be making many trips back to MN this winter for ice house rentals and guide trips.

These two events really were a great way for Mosaic to utilize the wrap boat and turn some heads in a ag show. It gave all my sponsors some great exposure and for that I would like to say thank you to Mosaic and all the people I got a chance to meet and talk to.

Go big or go home...the official big announcement

I find myself speechless often and this is no exception.  Some of you know that I have had some things in the works but I haven't made any official announcement.  Well I am going to give it a go......you reckon?!

I recently inked a new sponsor deal with Mosaic.  Mosaic is a company that specializes in fertilizer and other crop nutrients.  The fertilizer that we are promoting and marketing is called MicroEssentials.  We are doing many events with the new Ranger Z520 powered by an Evinrude 250 HO.  e.g. Ag shows, Fishing tournaments, and seminars.

MicroEssentials is breakthrough approach to crop nutrient that ensures uniform distribution of nutrients through each and every granular.

MicroEssentials is fundamentally different from other fertilizers. It’s not just a blend of nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and zinc, but rather an impregnated granule created through a patented manufacturing process. And, it’s not an encapsulation or micronutrients simply sprayed onto existing fertilizer.  With MicroEssentials, sulfur and zinc (SZ) are added in partial layers around developing phosphorus-based fertilizer particles.

The result is uniform, nutritionally balanced fertilizer granules, each with essential nutrients combined in precisely the correct ratio for plant health. This uniformity allows for even distribution of nutrients, not only across the field, but also from plant to plant, and throughout the season.

This is especially beneficial because sulfur and zinc, nutrients essential for efficient plant metabolism, are not all that mobile in soil. When sulfur and zinc are applied as minor components of a bulk blend, much of their benefits are lost because plants must seek out the sparse granules across a large area.

Ok so now that you have a compete understanding of fertilizer I will get back to the rest of the news.  Along with Mosaic, I have signed numerous other new sponsors for the upcoming season.  I am now sponsored by one of the best Ranger dealers in the country, Al's Speciality Marine in Rochester MN.  My relationship with Ranger boats is stronger than ever and am very excited about my new Z520 powered by an Evinrude 250 HO.

The Mosaic boat wrap was installed by axiom graphics.  As you see, they did a great job!  Thanks Matt for all your efforts.

Lastly, I have moved to Lake Lanier, Gainesville GA to pursue a fishing career in the FLW Pro bass tour!  Yes, thats right....I am living in Georgia for many months to come.  Stay tuned for more info and many more updates soon.  Until next time...Fish On!
