Mining for gold

The "gold rush" is still on.  The walleye fishing continues to be above average for walleyes since the 2011 MN fishing opener.  The fishing report for Lake Waconia and Lake Minnetonka are still "good".  Both lakes continue to produce nice walleyes and numbers of them.

The last few nights we have started catching fish on live bait(minnows and leeches) but are not giving up on our crankbait bite.  My best bite is in less then 10 feet of water and all at dark or after.  I have a little something figured out and hope that it will continue for a few more days.  I know that it won't last forever.  As the water warms my bite is going to change rapidly.  But for now I have them figured out and will be chasing them pretty hard until they prove me wrong.

I have been fishing until almost 1 am if not later the last few days.  I have to get some rest and will be back at it tomorrow.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.  Until next time, Fish On!
