Stop Fishing, Start Catching!

Here is a picture of Nig with a nice Minnetonka walleye. The lake has been giving up lots of these "eater" size walleyes with an occasional giant mixed in. Lake Minnetonka continues to be our main focus, with an occasional trip to Waconia. The ice conditions have started to improve. Lake Minnetonka has about 14-15" of ice on most of all of Upper Lake. I will be on Waconia tonight and will report back with some ice conditions. The best bite has been from 4:30-6 o'clock in the evening. I apologize for the lack of reports, I have been on the ice every day and evening with different groups of happy fisherman.
Katie was able to catch a few walleyes of her own. We are still catching most of the fish jigging either a Northland buckshot spoon or a Rapala jig'n shad rap in perch color tipped with a minnow head. Many of the larger fish are coming on the rattle reels in the middle of the night on shiners. I will have more reports and pictures to come soon. Keep on Keep'n on!
