Oops, I did it again

The walleye bite is still on! Went out on Thursday with Andy and did it again.
We finished the night with 16 walleyes. We threw back 11 with the biggest going 27", about 8-8 1/2 pounds.
Most of our fish are coming on a jig and a leech. Have still been catching a few on minnows and crankbaits but the majority have been caught on leeches.
Our best bite has been for about an hour before dark. A few fish have been caught before 8:30 and a few after dark but not much. If it gets overcast we have been able to catch them a little earlier but not much. When the sun is behind the trees you should be hitting them hard.
You will want to focus on hard bottom very close to good weed cover if you want to try and get in on some of this hot action on your own.
I am still finding some fish up shallow at or after dark. The fish that are moving up are aggressive and do hit crankbaits. If the fish continue to feed like this for the rest of the summer I will have a banner year.
For those of you that do fish you know it won't last after this heat they are predicting next week so if you want to try and hit some hot action you need to call or e-mail me soon.
This has been one of the most historic walleye weeks that I have ever seen for a metro lake.
Until next time. Good Luck and Fish On!

Jason Berg and I did it again last night. We hit the walleyes for about an hour and a half and finished the night with 11.
Going back at it today and hope to continue with the great action. Check back for more follow ups on the action.
Still catching lots of fish on jigs and leeches.
