Never Ending Story

There has been some interesting trips as of lately.....to say the least.  It seems to be the never ending story about the one that got away.  Well tonight was no different.  Once again we had numerous big fish get away, but as you can see I was able to boat one nice fish.  I will be back with more of the story and pictures tomorrow.  All I have to say for now is that Mizy has a new nick name and it is whiffer!!

Mizy how did it feel to hear, "I got one, I got one!!"?  Stay tuned for more.  I have a stretch that will have me on the water a lot.  Fish On!

Conditions Were Ripe

The clouds and weather set up for a perfect evening of muskie fishing on Lake Minnetonka.  I saw what the weather was doing and told myself I have to get on the lake to try and catch a few toothy critters!  As you can see we were succesful at catching a toothy critter...oh wait...we caught two!  I also went back to an area where I have been seeing a giant and saw her again tonight!  Big Bertha followed all the way to the boat but did not eat.  This fish is a true giant and I hope she will be posing for fishwithmatt.com ever so soon.  Stay tuned here for more reports and pictures.  I have a great streak of fish going and am not going to quit until I post the pics of big bertha.

Joe boated this great fish right at dark.  It measured 41" and fell victim to a black cow girl that yours truely customized for Joe before he started throwing it.  I don't think he will ever go fishing again with out a black sharpie in his boat.  It makes for a great marker when it comes time to paint a bait or blade.

Back At It

Recently boated this muskie while fishing a Fishers Of Men bass tournament on Lake Waconia.  The fish was right around the 40" mark.  Needless to say it put up quite the battle on a spinning rod with 8 pound line.

First Timers

Rick and Jim joined me for a morning of muskie fishing on Lake Minnetonka and Jim was rewarded with his first ever muskie.  It was not a giant by any means but still a nice fish.  Rick had numerous chances and follows, but Jim was the first to boat a fish.  My computer is giving me fits and I have wrote the whole story of the day twice only to lose it and not be able to post it.  I will try and get it up soon.  Thanks fellas.  Had a great day on the water and look forward to doing it again soon.

Rick and Jim enjoyed a glass of wine after a great morning on the water.  I have you guys penciled in for the hard water fishing this winter!
