Living The Dream

This is the recent MN Bound(my part starts at the 11:20 min mark) that aired where long time friend Travis Frank and I headed out on Mille Lacs for an over night ice trip. We managed to wrangle a few nice gravel lizards and also a dandy pike. We filmed this show last winter in early Feb and the big fish bite had slowed down a bit but the ones we did manage to catch were really nice fish. For many years now Travis and I have lived by one motto-"living the dream" and this is once again an example of how we have chosen to live our lives. Both Travis and I chased our dreams and passion since we were little kids and I don't see that changing any time soon. Until next time, get out and stretch the string!

Everyone Likes Swimbaits

Winter is a great time to take tackle inventory, read up on new products, and also order in what you need for the upcoming season. Well in the above video you will learn why the Keitech Swimbait is one of my favorite baits all year long. It not only excels in spring but it catches them in summer and fall as well. This is my #1 go to smallmouth bait when I get to a lake. Many colors and a few sizes available at krugerfarms.com.

Simms Pro Dry Rain Gear

Well as I sit here today and watch the snow blow all over I think about outerwear. The first thing I think of when I start thinking summer outerwear and fishing is Simms. In this video we point out some of the benefits of the Simms Pro Dry Rain gear. This stuff is the real deal and carries a lifetime warranty. Stay warm people it is cold, windy, and gross outside. But remember to get your gear ordered now before your first outing in May when it may rain!

Out For A Rip Bud-On Olympic Break!

Get the flash player here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer

Spent the last 5 days fishing with some good buds on parts of Lake Of The Woods that had not seen a hole or a track this winter. It was a great trip on many levels. We managed to catch some giant crappies and many gravel lizards. Dustin Byfuglien was on Olympic break from the NHL which allowed him some rare winter time on the ice. We found our best action came on northland buckshot spoons tipped with a minnow head.
